Four Benefits of: Green Tea

It’s possibly the healthiest drink on the planet, with it being good for your general health, your brain and is a lot healthier than a normal cup of English tea. Is there anything Green Tea isn’t good for?

As we’ve said, Green Tea is incredibly good for our health and so we’ve put together a list of what we consider to be the best four benefits of it.

  1. It improves your brain health and makes you smarter
Green Tea, like most teas, has caffeine in which improves brain function, mood and memory. It also contains an amino acid called L-theanine which works with the caffeine to improve brain function, and ultimately making us that little bit smarter and able to take in information.
  2. It has the ability to kill bacteria
The catechins in the Green Tea help to kill some viruses like the flu and reduces risk on infection. It also kills the bacteria that causes plaque formation and contributes to cavities and tooth decay. Dentists never tell you this do they! Oh and one more thing – it helps get rid of bad breath too which is always a winner.
  3. It improves your physical performance
In most fat-burning supplements you’ll find Green Tea, but you don’t need to take those potentially harmful supplements when you can just have a mug or two of tea a day. It boosts our metabolic rates and the caffeine mobilises fatty acids, causing our physical performance to improve. Who knew we didn’t have to go to the gym to get fit? (We’re just joking, Green Tea won’t do all the work for you).
  4. It does wonders for your skin
The anti-oxidants in Green Tea both brightens your skin and can reduce the appearance of wrinkles. If you drink it regularly, you’ll be able to see a visable difference in a couple of weeks. Also, when applied topically, it can also help to heal sunburn.
