Raspberry infused water

Healthy alternative: Frozen fruit cubes

We’re all guilty of not drinking enough water. Especially when we’re busy and on-the-go. Unfortunately it’s when we’re de-hydrated that we reach for fizzy or sugary drinks to quench our thirst. But there is a way to add some much needed taste to your tap water – and it’s easier than you think.

So if you’re trying to cut down on sugary drinks, the simple solution is these flavoured frozen fruit cubes. All you need is water, an ice cube tray and some imagination. You can add pretty much any kind of fruit or herbs and once frozen and added to a glass of water you can enjoy the wonderful flavours.

Our favourite flavoured ice cube to make is a mix of raspberry and mint. With Summer just around the corner, and the weather warming up already, we’ll be making plenty of these for our friends and family. All you need to make a batch is:

  • a handful of raspberries (frozen or fresh)
  • a handful of mint leaves
  • ice cube tray
  • water

Method:

  1. Simply place one or two raspberries (depending on their size) into half of the ice cube tray sections.
  2. Cut the mint leaves to size and place one or two (again depending on size) into the rest of the sections.
  3. Fill up with water and store in the freezer for an hour or two.

And there you have it. Why not give these a go or add your favourite fruits to make your own flavour. Let us know how you get on by commenting in the box below or posting a photo on Instagram and use the #PrettyNaturalUK.
